Introductions

So... I have never done anything like this before, in fact I have no clue as to how you are even supposed to start something like this. Hence why it has literally taken me far to long to even write that opening sentence, the product being a pretty mundane opening. Never the less i shall continue to possibly humiliate myself and compose my first blog.

The concept of a blog seems alien to me, however the theory in practise is to create a space for my thoughts. Initially a tiny corner of the internet just for me, but possibly also a way to share my life with whoever may stumble across this, which I guess is you!

It's clear to say I have an unhealthy obsession with baking. Unhealthy a) It's pretty much all i do with my life...don't worry I am exaggerating for effect slightly here.....slightly mwaha b) It's a known (sad) fact cake makes you fat. But who cares about that! For me baking is a fun, stress release which I plan to use my blog to share, so i hope you look forward to my baking adventures/catastrophes.

I also want to share another side of my life. Currently i'm 17 years old, living in England and i'm a Christian. I've been brought up in a Christian household and so I have been going to church my whole life... pretty much. But it's been only recently that I feel i'm truly starting to have faith through my own decision. I feel i've come to a point now that I can say i'm a Christian by choice, not by convenience of following my family. Now being the age that I am, being a Christian can be really challenging since, you're constantly being associated with stereotypes. For example a Christian doesn't drink, doesn't have sex, doesn't swear, never breaks the rules of anything, never argues, the list goes on. I want to start out by saying I'm sorry if I offend anyone with anything said on here. I am definitely not at all saying I am some perfect Christian, or that this is how to be a Christian, I am simply just sharing my personal experiences and opinions. Now i promise you, it is not my intention to be preaching God left, right and centre. I am not going to just natter on and shove Christianity down your throat, my aim is just to share occasionally (more likely rarely) my thoughts on trying to be a Christian while combating the impossible task of being a teenager. And perhaps help others who are just like me.

They say write what you know and what you're passionate about. So, here you have it, the weirdest combination all in one place. My love for baking cakes, and my faith in Christ. I give you Faith in Cake!
